Technicolor Creative Studios Academy | 3D Modeling for VFX

For the last 8 weeks I took part in Technicolor Creative Studios' new 3D modeling for VFX academy.

I worked on 6 different assets over the last 2 months, each focused on a different aspect of 3D model creation for visual effects for film. The axe, the leaf and the camera were modeled using Maya, for the cliff we started lodC with Maya and then moved on to sculpting in ZBrush and finally for the digidouble we used a mix of both to conform the base mesh to the scan.

Both 3D scans, the digidouble base mesh and the lightrig for the turntables were all provided by the academy.
